I ordered these shoes after reads serveral reviews. With the expectation that they would start out as tight fitting but would loosen up. I understood that the purpose of the tight fit was how clogs work. Unfortunately these shoes remained stiff and unwearable. The top ridge of the shoe actually cuts off my circulation after a few hours of wearing them. When means that I can not go a full 10 hour shift with these on.

Since manufacturing for these has gone to China the sizing is so inconsistent and its rather frustrating. This particular pair however finally ran true to size. I'm a 7 1/2-8 and a 38 in these fit perfectly. I have Danskos from 36-39 so that gives you an idea of the sizing issues. These also gave me enough room over the top of my foot.

I loved the shoes, but they didn't fit right. The heels were too large and the left shoe was too tight at the ball of the foot, which is odd, since my right foot is larger/wider than my left! I have another pair of Danko shoes, but these don't fit anything like those regretfully.

I have many pairs of Dansko shoes and most are the Professional. I like the full toe box and the arch support for all day comfort. This is my second pare of the black patent. I have a fairly wide foot and never have any problem with this brand. However, this shoe is much fuller than the others I have in this size and style. I don't feel as secure wearing them because the are too loose and I could more easily twist my ankle if I have an uneven step because I don't have as much support. I bought them at the last minute for a trip. Otherwise, I would have returned them and bought another pair elsewhere.

I bought these for my stepdaughter. One shoe fit pretty good, but the other was too large. She did not let me know this until it was too late to return them. I have had this difficulty with Dansko shoes myself. I realize it is better to buy them in the store. You can try on many pair to get a good fit. Since they are hand made they can be the same size , but fit differently.
