Flux broken off tips

I like Lincoln Excalibur or esab 7018's but long story short, I ended up with some of these. They worked OK but I didn't like how the slag came off. They also didn't strike very well but I think that's because half of them had flux chipped off around the tips. I don't know if that was from the manufacturer or shipper but either way it was pretty annoying. I had to cut the ends off a lot of them. I used these for work that wasn't super critical or inspected so they got me by but I wouldn't recommend them if you have better options. At least they weren't wet or rusty lol.
Rods that stick!

Very difficult to work with. Rods stick and would not weld even clean unpainted metal. Will go back to using other name brand.
