Hands down the best cookies EVER

How did I live without these all my life? The best cookies ever. Think of these cookies as much lighter version of the original walkers shortbread cookies - filling but just not as buttery heavy - plus jelly-like sweet dehydrated gingers... yum! The gingers taste very fresh and quite strong. Never knew ginger cookies could taste so darn good.
My only big problem with these cookies is that I ALWAYS end up finishing the whole box in one sitting (don't judge, you will do the same) and end up in a bit of a dessert coma mode.

I cannot complain for the price I got these, however I was expecting Walker's shortbread with ginger bits in it. That is not what this product is. It is just a plain old shortening based light, airy cookie with ginger bits in it. And it's not even particularly notable, other than the chewy ginger bits are nice. I myself can taste shortening a mile away and I don't really care for it, which is why I tend towards butter based treats. Caveat emptor, I didn't know Walker's made anything but shortbread based cookies but I should have read the ingredients list.

These cookies are absolutely fantastic. The are somewhat similar to a cross between shortbread cookies and ginger snaps. They are crispy and the ginger is amazing. It is sweet yet strong and spicy. These have a definite ginger flavor that is unmistakable, but it is wonderful and sweet. I am not a big fan on ginger, but I do absolutely love these. I plan on giving them as neighbor gifts this holiday season I felt they were so delightful.

We like Walkers products, and love ginger, so these sounded great. They tasted wonderful--good ginger flavor--and we'll be ordering them again.
Real ginger means these cookies are good for you, right??

I was so happy when I discovered these delicious cookies!! The real bits of candied ginger really hit the spot. Great with some tea or coffee, or just by themselves.
I just wish they were sold in single or double boxes, rather than the larger quantities, because 1) I'm afraid some of the boxes will go stale over time, or - what's more likely - 2) I won't be able to resist temptation and will eat them all within a matter of days!
Will post again if I find that the later boxes seem to get stale. But for now, I'm enjoying the heck out of these fabulous cookies!!
