I took this on a 2 week trek through the Himalayas and it's exactly what I was looking for. It's very light, so not too warm, but loose enough to fit a few layers underneath. This is actually quite nice It's also very attractive; the small fits me very well and I really like the dark blue color. Keeps the rain out quite well, even in heavy downpours, though it can soak through somewhat, but not to the point of getting your clothes wet, just gets a damp feeling.

One small downside I found was the hood. I think I have a pretty normal sized head, but when I wear the hood up it often times falls down below my eyes slightly, obstructing my vision a little. Another minor thing, which is probably the same for most raincoats, is smells tend to stick to the inside lining. I'm sure it can be washed and aired out, but if you're sitting next to a wood fire for a while, it will definitely be smelling like smoke for a while if you don't wash it. I image the same goes for body odor.

This jacket repels rain fits good and is somewhat warm.You need to have layers underneath for cold weather.I would say the material is very light but durable so far.

This is a great rain jacket! I bought this after losing my old one, and I was really hoping to find something affordable. Quality is excellent and it holds up well in multiple forms of temperatures. The hood is nice and deep, and the underarm zippers are nice for warmer days. The inside pattern adds a nice fashionable touch to the jacket as well. Also, it keeps you dry in the rain like it should. I'm 5'10 and it goes about 2 inches past my hips.

I am female, but I ordered the Men's medium as another reviewer recommended. I was preparing for a trip beginning with a few days in Lucerne, Switzerland, then on to a Tauck Rhine River Cruise to Amsterdam. I knew I would have to layer accordingly, which is why I chose the Men's Medium... and this parka FIT THE BILL!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It's light (12 oz) and rolls up tightly to pack efficiently. Wore it on a trip up to Mount Jungfrau ("the TOP OF EUROPE") and I was most comfy from the sunny afternoon in Grindelwald awaiting the train, up through the train tunnel, throughout lunch and back. Great item. Great service!

First time I used it was a hike up Mt. Baldy in CA--the summery weather down below in L.A. did not continue up into the mountains. At 10,000 feet the wind was howling at 40-50 mph and temp was 38 degrees---I only brought a couple lighter layers so I was soooo glad I packed this with me just in case--did an excellent job of keeping the wind and cold off me. The hood wrapped around perfectly. Still haven't tested it in the rain, its primary purpose but my confidence is high.
