It installed easily and all the instructions were also easy. Worked great for first 6 months until I came home and heard the backup pump running continuously but there was no water in the spring pit. The float was in the down position and couldn't find what was wrong. The primary pump has been working great for the 2 1/2 years but didn't move enough water during the torrential down pour we had last week and the water made it into my garage before I was able to drop a second pump in

Good pump, good backup pump very quiet, only problem is my first one disintegrated after 3yrs of use...... the main pump started to get tons of pin hole corrosion leaks through it anytime it ran water sprayed all over the place... after taking it out and replacing it noticed the whole main pump was in horrible condition with holes all over it's body and it's top... great pump but doesn't last as long as I hoped for the price
