Good Dental Help for Pets - All Natural

I bought Pet Kiss for my aging cat (she's nearly 19), who has kidney disease and can't get her teeth cleaned by the vet any more. I wanted something that was completely natural - no chemicals, preservatives, dyes, flavorings, alcohol, etc. to stress her kidneys. Pet Kiss fits the bill! She's very picky, but didn't even notice when I added it to her water. The one problem I had was that, if the water in the dish sits for a couple of days, it will grow mold or bacteria (no preservatives). So I would make up a quart of water (or a gallon) in advance and store it in the fridge. Then I'd completely change her water and wash out the dish every couple of days. This solved the problem, but there are no directions to refrigerate the treated water after it's made up, or to change the water completely every day or so. My cat's teeth and gums seem to be healthy, and her breath has improved.
Their teeth look better

I have one large bowl for the dogs and cats. I use this in every refill and the animals like it.
Many years ago my vet told me that the zinc was good for getting teeth clean and keeping them clean. He was correct.
I still get their teeth cleaned every few years, but they stay much cleaner and their gums are in great shape.
And I find that the cats drink more water when the additive is in it. Since cats are notorious for not drinking enough water, then this is another advantage to using this product.
So, I have been happy with this product. I would have no problem recommending it.
Good stuff

I suppose most people are like me. The thought of trying to routinely brush your dogs teeth while they eat the toothpaste sounds terrible. However you realize that tooth decay is linked heart health and you don't want your furry friends departing early. I have one dog that has moderately bad breath at times also. I want to say I noticed the difference after only a couple weeks but I definitely do now. The digs teeth are not gleaming white like when they weee young but most of the plaque is gone! Bad breath is way gone. I decided pretty quickly I couldn't do multiple capfuls every water bowl at the rate my dogs guzzle water. So I measured the amount of volume for 1/2 a gallon and then used an old pump bottle from shampoo! I figured out how many pumps equals that volume and voila! Now I just put 10 pumps in a half gallon of RO water in a pitcher and fill the dish! Takes like 1-2 mins. I'm hoping to see even more results over time.
Tartar control for dogs

I'm not sure how this is working because we have at least 4 things to keep our dogs teeth clean. They are both 3 years old and have never had their teeth cleaned. When the vet looked at their teeth she said they were really good and clean. I use this in their water, use a spray on their teeth, brush once a week with a toothbrush, and use bully sticks. I really think that the bully sticks are what cleans their teeth the best. They love them and chew on them all the time. They mostly chew on the very back teeth, which builds up tartar and plaque the fastest and the bully sticks clean them completely. We hold the bully sticks while they are chewing as a safety factor for choking but if it's long enough, that probably won't happen. I am sure that this plaque and tartar control in their water also is a helping factor in clean teeth. In fact, all that we do is a factor in their clean teeth. We are so adamant about keeping their teeth clean because I have been through what happens when you don't and have lost a treasured pet because of bad teeth.
Great stuff

I've used a lot of water additives for my dog's teeth and this seems to work the best. I started out buying a small bottle. However, I went to the largest size because you definitely get more bang for your buck. It might be quite expensive for you, but if you do the math he'll get a ton of small bottles out of that big bottle. So if you're in the mood to purchase, you won't be disappointed
