These are very nice gaiters. Strong zipper, tough waterproof cloth, and enough room to put on over my warm pack boots.
Worth the money

I have worn these the past 3 years now and have nothing but good things to say. These are pricier than your average but you get what you pay for when it comes to gaiters:
PROS:
-great material that repels water
-comes in different sizes--"one size fits all" usually doesn't
-shoe lace hook to keep front lip down
-quality zipper with velcro storm flap and buttons on top and bottom corner
-calf cinch
-durable: after 3 years, mine look like new.
-versatile: hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skying, shoveling snow, etc. etc.
NEG:
-little more expensive

Good in deep snow.

I ordered these because we get a lot of snow here in Michigan, 14 inches last week, and I'm out clearing the driveway and walks with my snow blower a couple times a week. Used these gaiters yesterday and today to clear snow, feed the birds in the back yard and do some sledding with the kids. They kept my jeans and feet dry, just as advertised.
Each gaiter has a zipper seal, with snaps at the top and bottom, with a Velcro seal over the zipper and a strong hook that attaches to my lowest boot lace,so no snow leaks in. So far they're easy to use, well constructed and keep my feet and pants legs dry.
A good value, so far!

Very Effective Gaiters

I used these gaiters on a snowy hike, and the even when post-holing to my knees, I never got any snow in my boots. I normally wear a size 11.5 tennis shoe, but with thick socks I was wearing a size 12 Salomon Anka boot ( http://www.amazon.com/Salomon-Mens-Anka-CS-Snow/dp/B00AKB5XIS ), and the large size gaiter was a great fit.
The only minor gripe I have about these is the placement of the elastic loop at the back of the calf, which is directly centered on the lag. After tightening this elastic strap, the excess loop would sometimes catch on my other boot or snowshoe as I was walking. Some of the gaiters used by other members of the group had this strap offset slightly to the outside of the leg so this wouldn't happen. I dealt with this minor issue by tucking the excess elastic back into the top of the gaiter so it wasn't hanging loose.
All in all a very useful and fairly inexpensive tool for snowy hiking.

Nice gaiters and nice price

These do the job and are perfect for cross country skiing, shoveling, hiking and snowshoeing. They are light and seem to be fairly breathable while keeping snow and wet out. The construction and quality is decent, especially for the price. One of the top snaps on mine was broken, but I managed to fix it, and there's also a drawstring on top, so the snap is somewhat superfluous anyway. I'm not really sure why these come in sizes. I ordered a medium and they fit me (5'1" petite woman) and my girlfriend (5'10") just fine. I have an expensive pair of LL Bean gaiters, and I'd say these are just as good if not better. They definitely fit better.
