They're not MEANT to dissolve quickly!
Laurie Allen✓ Verified Purchase•April 13, 2018
This is a great product, and I wanted to write this review to address the complaints of many that they "take forever to dissolve" or "don't dissolve well."
If you have (or suspect you might have) poor absorption of nutrients in your gut/digestive tract, you want your B12 to bypass the digestive system. The whole point of a sublingual tablet is to allow the nutrient to be absorbed by the body while under the tongue. If the pill dissolves too fast (more like a meltaway mint), the sweeteners in it trigger your salivary response, and the pill dissolves quickly and gets flushed out from under your tongue into your mouth. Yum, cherry flavor! EXCEPT!... now it's going to get swallowed and go through your digestive tract. :/ Presumably, this isn't what you wanted to happen because you've gone through the trouble and expense to buy a sublingual tablet rather than a regular pill in order to bypass the digestive system.
If you chew it, crush it before putting it under your tongue, or do anything else to undermine its intended function, you've wasted your money on this product. This is a well-designed sublingual tablet. Let it do what it's supposed to do. Yes, it takes 20 minutes or so to dissolve completely, but honestly, who cares? It's a small, flat tablet that fits comfortably under your tongue. Is it keeping you from getting in the shower, or mowing your yard, or feeding your kids, or doing whatever else you need to be doing while waiting -- impatiently! -- for it to dissolve? Just stick a tablet (or two or three!) under your tongue, and get on with your life.

Got B-12??
Linda in MO✓ Verified Purchase•July 1, 2016
B-12 deficiency is fairly common. Besides the fact that vergetarians are at risk for it (most dietary forms come from meat), studies are showing that not only the adults but children are now low. It's been called the silent epidemic. Sometimes, because the symptoms can mimic other conditions (like Alzheimers/MS/mental illness/autism/infertility/cardiovascular disease/even cancer), you can be misdiagnosed and spend a lot of time and money when all you may have needed was supplimentation. Please don't think I'm saying B-12 can cure any of these issues. It's just that most physicians are not fundamentally educated about our body's nutritional needs and how it's lack of healthy supplies can cause these symptoms. I take B-12 as a preventative to offset my advancing age. Plus, the increase in energy is a bonus.
Within minutes of taking one tablet of these I FELT GREAT! WOW

I've taken other B-12 before and barely felt a thing. Within minutes of taking one tablet of these I FELT GREAT! WOW! These ones REALLY WORK. Just dissolve the tablet under your tongue which doesn't take long at all and tastes good. One per day of one bottle = 4 months supply. 2 pack = 8 months supply. Can take up to 3 a day, though. WOW.
I have such immense exhaustion that even basic every day things that people take for granted like walking/showering is a chore

This product, although not a cure for debilitating fatigue, is a must-have, a staple of sorts for anyone suffering from any form/severity of fatigue. I have such immense exhaustion that even basic every day things that people take for granted like walking/showering is a chore. My brain, my eyes, my body, everything is so weak and in such a tremendous state of fog but with this, I feel my mental thoughts become slightly more awake.
Just right flavor, melts quickly under tongue

This is the better of two types to absorb B12 through the stomach.
Not excessively sweet, this flavored sublingual vitamin has enough flavor to cover almost all of the vitamin taste. It melts quickly under the tongue - seems like it takes 30 seconds to one minute.
My veteran husband who takes B12 injections weekly for a definite deficiency (secondary to another medical condition), experiences occasional days of severe fatigue from overexertion the day before. One of these tablets helps him get back to himself without disrupting his weekly injection dosage and its need. It helps fill in the slack.
No stomach problems when taken with and without food, at the same time as (and at different times than) his prescription medicines.
I tried one when I missed a presciption medicine for a condition that has extreme fatigue as one symptom. It helped me get through the day until I got my medicine refill at the pharmacy.
B12 is water soluable, so you cannot overdose on it. Drinking water will flush it out of your body. If the dosage is too high for a person's body, the urine will be a canary yellow color.
UPDATE May 29, 2013 (Originally written March 2, 2013)
My husband can replace his weekly injections if he uses this, but doctor determined frequency using this dosage of sublingual.
