I bought this to keep at my house and play with when my 3 year old granddaughter comes. She loves the song and sometimes gets too enthused about winding it so I have to stay by her so she doesn't break it. We've talked about how the gears work and how the sound is made. I've heard her explain how it works to her mom. This is a delicate toy and I wouldn't suggest just giving it to a young child to go play with. I was really looking for a "real" music box with this song, but at the time this is all I could find. We've had fun with it and even though they've now moved far away, she still asks about it to make sure I keep it.

This music box is so cute! It does play leit it be and it plays it so cute! One of the little keys broke off soon after I got it but it does not make a big difference to the song. It is a little bit smaller than I expected.

Great sounding music box. Got one of these for my 4 year old daughter and it was eventually misplaced. She loved to carry it around, turn the crank, and watch the music box as the song played.
