We love it because it teaches so much

purchased as a therapy toy for our 2 year old ASD son..he loves it. We love it because it teaches so much, cause and effect, following directions, colors, problem solving (we have him help us put it together) and it is just fun! Need to be a little cautious with the small plastic tabs that connect the tube pieces together, but even if these do break they still stay fit/stay together fine. I would also advise keeping the directions, as believe it or not, assembly can be a little tricky! Over all wonderful and serves us well!

Bought for my sons first birthday and he loves it.
Balls are a good size diameter for his hands and he is able to run it by himself (which for a 1 y/o) is nice.
The balls seem to be suspended on the sides of the track more than on the bottom so it has the effect of slowing the rolling speed and acceleration down quite a bit (If you put a small marble on the same track it races right through). The slower action speed makes it much better for younger kids.
I think it was done to prevent young kids from leaning on it and breaking the parts, but it does not snap together in every spot instead leaving some connections that are very easy to come apart (again, by design). I think this is probably good design from a durability perspective, but it does make moving it around the room / house kind of annoying.

Long term toy

I bought this exact same toy for my oldest grandson five years ago. When another grandchild turned one (this one is a cousin to the first one), I decided that the toy provided so much fun and entertainment to the older child, that it was the perfect gift for the younger child. It is well made, keeps the child's attention and provides lots of time for interaction between child and adult. As the child grows, he/she can put it together by himself, and an adult isn't needed to work it. I do recommend this toy for kids of all ages under four.
Easy tracking

I love that the balls are weighted and roll down the ramp slowly, my 6 month old is able to easily track them and even "catch" the balls as they roll. They are about the same size as the Bright Start balls, so interchangeable with other toys, which is always a bonus. The downside, as noted by others, is the clear tube connecting the lowest ramp to the base is not secure. It falls over at the slightest provocation.
My son loves it, 5 stars

Goes together very easy, comes apart very easy too lol. I bought epoxy and glued it together as my special needs son isn't always gentle. Once glued the stability and durability have been great. He absolutely loves it. The balls are the perfect diameter to slowly progress through the toy providing the chance to drop the ball and watch it's progress instead of having it instantly jet to the bottom. My son favors it and happily drops ball after ball into it ignoring the battery powered musical/light up toys he used to gravitate towards. Happy I bought this.
