Spend a little more and get something better

It's an okay cleaning kit at best. if you just want a simple cleaning kit to start off i think this is good for you. If you have nicer rifles/pistols and don't want to have to store you oils and cleaners in separate cases or don't trust the quality of the brushes (i didn't like them), then id suggest spending a little more money. I also had problems with the .22 cleaning brush, in both my .22LR and my AR-15, i though at first it was because it was a new brush but it never got any better. The way the rods assemble is also a little annoying, it snot that they have to be put together in a special order, it that you have to put a few together to even do a pistol, so you have this huge cleaning rod just to do a pistol barrel.

I purchased this because it seem to be an inexpensive universal cleaning kit I've used Hoppe's Products before and they worked fine. Unfortunately the parts were threaded wrong and didn't fit together as they should. One part hadn't been threaded at all. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement part which was threaded, however they didn't fit properly. I contacted the company again and they were not surprised that the quality was not there and suggested that I return it to Amazon.

I was really disappointed with this product. I have used Hoppe's No. 9 Synthetic Blend Lubricating Oil, and Hoppe's No. 9 Gun Bore Cleaner for the past year. while using another gun cleaning kit. So when it came to replace a lot of my old parts. I looked into getting a new kit. Since i was happy with the cleaner and oil from them. I invested into their cleaning kit. One the first use of the 22 cal bore brush. it fell apart. so i moved on to the my 12 gauge and same thing happened. they are not crimped on well. Sad because I liked their other products and will continue to use them. But i will be going back to my gun smith and getting a better kit from there.

Nice outfit. All the attachments I needed. Cleaned my .38, .357, 12, 20, & 16 gauge shotguns plus all my .22 cals. All the items you need with adapters to shorten or lengthen the rods for pistol, shotgun or rifle.The case is not real sturdy and certainly not heavy metal, mostly plastic, but not too bad and I don't need a sturdy case. I put the thing on my gun safe until I need to clean a gun and it doesn't leave the house. Price was reasonable, but be prepared to buy some solvent and oil because it doesn't come with any. It does come with some patches of different sizes.
