I got these as containers for my baby's food. I feel better that I am heating up her food in glass containers rather than plastic. Great in the microwave on 30seconds-1minute heat or 2minute defrost. The lids come very handy, also. One bowl can comfortably fit 4oz. I've since also used a bowl designated to warm up essential oils. LOVE!!

The Pyrex custard cups were ridiculously expensive, so I purchased these instead; and I'm very satisfied with them. They're sturdy, and the plastic lids are a nice plus so that you can store things in them.
