Purchased Twice, Failed Twice, No Dice

I am a business owner and our shop has reached the level of needing a coin counter for one time daily use. I purchased the Cassida C200 at first. After about a month it failed to count coins correctly. I returned it and bought the Cassida C100 instead. The C100 did a great job of counting the coins and was only slightly off on occasion. Taking the machine apart and cleaning the counting diods once a week seemed to help. The warranty on this is 1 year. At exactly 1 year and 5 days the penny counter portion stopped working and the display showed error E3. I wrote the seller and they told me they did not handle any of these issues as they are a middle man. I wrote Cassida directly and they opened a ticket and gave me some cleaning advice. The penny counter still did not work. Here is the last response:
"Repairs are billed as follows:
Cost of parts
Labor @ $49/hour
Cost of return shipping via UPS Ground"

To be clear, I have used this thing less than 500 times.

At that price I should just buy another one. But I wont. I will hand count the pennies until the other coins stop working. I will then take the Cassida 100 to be electronically recycled ,aka the trash. Do not waste your money on this as it is not accurate at all times and, after two different counters, does not work correctly.
worked ok while it worked.

we used this 5 days a week to count 2 cash drawers worth of change at our small business and it saved a lot of time. However after about 18 months, it began to malfunction, the coin platter turns sporadically and the paddle wheel doesn't turn at all, no error codes show up. I have taken it apart to clean it and there is nothing obviously wrong.
Of course the warranty is out, contacted cassida and they said i would need to send it in for repairs, with shipping costs , parts and their hourly rate, its just not worth it . I guess its just another disposable piece of junk from china.
would love to find a similar item in a different brand

This counter was fine while it worked, but that wasn't for long. When it first malfunctioned, I called Cassida and was advised that, coins being dirty, it needed regular cleaning. Sounded reasonable, so I started doing that according to the instructions the representative put me on to. I thought that was working but it was at best a temporary fix. Even after cleaning it weekly, the machine, left sitting for more than a couple of minutes, would start counting coins that weren't there. Somehow it seems the nickel sensor is always the culprit. In any event, I have now concluded that is worthy only of "Office Space" treatment, as it is totally unreliable and totally frustrating. It's more efficient to count by hand!
Very happy.

Worked exceptionally well. Separated $1400 worth of silver in less than 4 hours. The system stops each time one of the collection chambers achieves the number of coins necessary to accurately load a roll sleeve. This saves a lot of time counting and recounting while rolling. No stalls, no jams and no errors in $1400. Quite good.
The First That Works and Reliably

Great money counter, - works as described and is the first that we have used in our coffee house that does not jam or mess up after a couple of weeks. I have not given 5 stars because the ability to have tubes of coins would be a plus - nevertheless, we have found this product to be robust and effective - whereas others we have tried at a similar price point have been pretty annoying after a few weeks. Its worth pointing out that we use this every day more than once and count hundreds of coins at a time - it does not seem to worry about being filled up and working its way through a large number of coins at once.
