Basket for Wider Walker

I bought this my extra width large walker, so the hooks underneath didn't fit. There is a slight bend in the very front and the hook on the front did fit. I then took shoe strings and tied it firmly in both tops and bottoms (4 places). It works perfectly, sure makes it easier to carry items. Wish I could fine a food tray that would fit.
This Basket Can Give A Dose Of Self-Reliance

Great little basket for carrying things around. Has a thin plastic liner with the shape for holding a cup, but it will not last. That does not matter, this basket is still great. I don't believe walkers are designed for transporting cups of coffee or liquids, anyway. However, this little basket helped reestablish my dad's feeling of self-reliance by giving him the ability to carry his cell phone, a bottled water, a snack, a deck of cards, his baseball cap, a sweater, or other light items, for example, around the house or out to the patio whenever he wants. He can even throw out some of his trash! The basket attaches and removes from our Drive walker super easily. It is sturdy metal coated in white rubbery type substance, like a bike basket. Neet!
VERY USEFUL FOR SMALL SPACES

My Mum had a bad fall and needs a walker for the time being. I order a bunch of different items I thought would be useful to attach to the walker so she could get around as independently as possible while she convalesces. Mum has a very narrow kitchen and bathroom so I thought this would get in her way. She has found of all the items I ordered that this has worked very nicely for her. Now, I have a number of things to return. No problem there. AMAZON is very accommodating, for which I am Grateful.
It has simply relieved my mind that this wonderful basket, which has a removable clear plastic insert with a useful cup holder, is very beneficial. I was concerned that small items would fall out of the bottom. The plastic IS very light-weight and flexes easily, however, it is good enough as we believe the walker will only be needed temporarily. That is the hope and belief that her PCP told us.
I certainly can't recommend it for large bowls, such as transporting soup, however, Mum has found using a soup cup fits nicely enough. I hope many others find it just as useful. :-)

We did not receive the plastic insert as described on the package. The basket is great but disappointed that the plastic insert/cup holder was missing. The package shows that an insert is included.

FYI, It did not come with the clear insert cup holder tray. The lower hooks don't actually snap attach to the legs, they just rest on the legs of the walker. I had to use a tie down to keep the hooks in place. Since, the hooks don't actually grab they just rest, when I put the walker in the rear seat, they come off. The tie downs did the trick. The basket is very sturdy and does rest nicely even when folding for storage w/the tie downs.
