This is great shoe rack over all for the price. There are a few pluses and minuses. The size is great and it holds tons of shoes. It is very stable and pretty easy to put together. You have to be sure the tubes are tightened correctly - I found my base tube kept loosening as I was fussing with the the other tubes. I turned the baskets upside down so I could hang my shoes topside out. This looks much better than staring at the dirty soles of the shoes and I like to see my shoes. The baskets spin very easily and the clamps make it very easy to adjust where you place the baskets. I purchased some inexpensive boot hangers to hang my boots and various wedges that don't hang on the upside down baskets. The coating scrapes off very easily from the tubing and the ceiling cap tends to leave black marks so use caution installing, or be prepared to clean off your ceiling.

Great purchase. I alternated the racks - right side up for strappy shoes and upside down for heals so I could see them better. The tension spring is a little difficult to pull down, but once in place it makes it decently sturdy. I'd purchase again.

I have two of these shoe racks in my walk-in closet and can't imagine life without them. I don't use them as illustrated, which takes some explaining. I've included a photo so you can see the results. In the manufacturer's photo, they suggest putting the tiers on the pole so they face upwards -- but that would mean the shoes would end up facing the pole. I want to see my shoes, and I want the high heels securely supported. To achieve that, I simply reversed things, putting the tiers on facing downwards. That way, high heels face out and display beautifully!
