I really wanted to love this game
Redman62•June 1, 2018
Well.....I really wanted to love this game. It got great reviews. BUT.....we tried to play it with a 2 and 4 1/2 year old. It was clearly above the 2 year olds head and the 4.1/2 year old lasted about 3 minutes, she lost interest and just wanted to play with the animals. So, they both did that for another 3 minutes and were bored. The animals were small and slippery. Even us two adults had a very difficult time trying to get the animals to stack and were ready to quit when the 4 year old was. So, not sure if we are just inept, or what.....?
Perfect gift for any child!

I love HABA games for my preschooler! This game was purchased as a gift for one of my daughter's friends. It is fun, challenging and entertaining! The stacking game is harder than you expect so it's equally fun for the grownups.
HABA makes beautiful and affordable games for kids of all ages. The game pieces are high quality and durable. A favorite for anyone!

This is a neat game. The pieces are kind of slick, so they can slide off of each other very easily, which makes it a little difficult for my 5 year old daughter to stack more than a few animals at a time. But its definitely improving her hand/eye coordination and dexterity. Not to mention she has a blast simply playing with the animals. I don't know if its quite worth the $20 bucks I paid (you can buy the "mini" version for $10), but I definitely wouldn't pay the $30 for the "collector's edition" which replaces the standard cardboard box with a metal tin box (so what?!) and a silver alligator instead of a green alligator (again, so what?!). Other than that, the regular game and collector's edition are exactly the same. Anyway, its a fun little dexterity animal stacking game. Not really much more to it. You roll a die and stack that many animals. The die also lets you choose animals for your opponents to stack.
The perfect game for all ages

We loved this game! I was worried it would be a little boring for my nine-year-old son, but it is such a fun game, and there are different rules you can play by on the back of the instructions that make it much more challenging. It teaches children strategy without them knowing they are strategizing. I would buy this as a gift. I was surprised how competitive my son became while we were playing. Nice short games to hold their attention too.
This is a wonderful game. Wont grate on parents!

We love this game. My husband and I would probably play this with my daughter 100 times. Some days she's good at it and other days she can't seem to make them stack at all. It however was a lot of fun, even for me and her father. Silly. Simple. Goofy. Easy to understand even for a 2 year old. It's basically the block stacking game with weird shaped pieces, a die, and a very few rules (made to reduce kid frustrations). Lots of jokes for adults. Lots of silliness. I think I'm going to give this to every toddler I know from now on, so their parents can thank me. 2 year old can handle it. 3 year old is pretty good at it. Adults can even have fun with it. Heck, I wanna break this out after the kids go to bed, after some wine and see if my sister or I can stack these little buggers!
