This is NOT universal, it may be universal INPUT, but not output. I felt misled into this purchase, I needed universal both input and output and once I got it I read it's really not unviversal, so it shouldn't be advertized as one.

Purchased this in case the other plugs I ordered (EU Wall Charger,2pc Max 2.1A 5V Universal LED Dual USB AC/DC European Travel Charger Power Adapter Charging Plug for iPhone 5S iPod Nano 6 Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Smart Phone Tablet HTC M9 White) would not fit the round, recessed outlets you sometimes fine in European hotels. A bit bulky. Doesn't have a USB.

Worked very well in South Korea and we were glad that we brought these with us. Some very modern and upscale places could accommodate plugs from the West (USA) as well as the Asian plugs, but these were great to have when you needed a converter for cell phones, hairdryer, makeup mirror and pc charger. Spend the money, you'll be glad you thought of these ahead of time, they take up very little space and you don't be running around an airport in Asia searching for plug adapters. 😀

Works great- better than carrying around the bulky converter kit as long as you know the outlet in the country you are traveling to. I plan to buy more of these for another trip to a foreign country with a different type of outlet. Reminder these are adapters and not converters. So they would only work with low voltage accessories (cell phone charger, CPAP machine, etc.) and if you use a hair dryer or curling iron would need the converter unless the item has dual voltage

I got this for my trip to Iceland. Despite the ad saying it would work, I still went on Google to make sure. It did work and it worked great. It did exactly what it was meant to do.
The reason I only gave the device 4 out of 5 stars was for two reasons: ease of use and questionable safety.
While the device does fit US electronics, did require a little pushing to make them fit. Since this was the only adapter I've ever tried, I'm not sure if they all work that way. It was a little worrisome at first, but everything I used (cellphone, laptop, battery pack), would change fully.
As for the safety issue. Again, since this is the only adapter I've used, this might be normal, but the device was warm to the touch. At home, here in the US, none of my chargers, power strips, cables or cords ever get warm when plugged in. Again, this might be totally normal given the adapting requirement, but for the sake of safety, I only used this when I was at the place I was staying and only on hard surfaces, away from (what I assume is) flammable cloth.
Overall, I would recommend this. It's cheap and gets the job done.
