Slick Shifting Again
J. Davis•August 19, 2017
I've continued to use only Honda branded fluids in my vehicles. Initially, my shifter felt notchy. After a coupe of drives, it was back to it's original smooth slickness. Furthermore, my fluids have always been clean and reasonably viscous when changing.
Improves shifting

I purchased this for my 1995 Mazda Miata and my 2002 Honda S2000. The Honda S2000 is okay but the shifting in my Miata has improved greatly.
I am going to try some ACDelco 10-4014 Friction Modified Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid next and see if that makes things

I purchased a 2007 Civic LX w/ manual transmission and noticed that the transmission was kind of "notchy" between shifts. I drained the old MTF out and put this in. It did help smooth out the shifting some but not a whole lot. I am going to try some ACDelco 10-4014 Friction Modified Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid next and see if that makes things any better.
Jitter and smoothness of my shifting didn't seem like a problem until I changed the fluid

If you haven't done manual transmission fluid change in a while... it will most likely make a difference. Jitter and smoothness of my shifting didn't seem like a problem until I changed the fluid. Feels like a car off the lot.
It was very easy and I have had no problems or warning lights ...

My 2008 Honda Fit (base model, manual transmission) required new tranny fluid at ~65k miles. I purchased 2 quarts of this product along with a manual fluid pump (linked below) and followed an online video to replace the fluid myself. It was very easy and I have had no problems or warning lights from the vehicle since. Much cheaper than taking it into the shop.
I would highly recommend this product.
