Another missed opportunity for wealth...

This case is perfect! The funny thing is that, years ago, I took a class from quilter Pat Sloan. She showed us her thread case and told us it was just a Matchbox Car case and it worked perfectly for thread. She'd bought it at Wal Mart. I spent weeks haunting the toy section of our local Wal Mart, to no avail. I was so delighted when we went to visit our son at college (3 hours away) and happened to visit the Wal Mart and WA-LA, there was the coveted Matchbox Car case I'd wanted.
Fast forward about 15 years. I now have so much machine sewing thread that it's starting to spill out of drawers, because my case is full. I thought back to the aggravation of looking for the case at our local Wal Mart and was reluctant to make a 3-hour drive to the college town (where our son no longer resides!) just to find the case. The light bulb went on and I searched Amazon for Matchbox Car case. This item came up. It is the EXACT same case, but now it's labeled Creative Options Thread Organizer.
I HOPE Pat Sloan is the creative force behind Creative Options. I wish I'd thought of just rebranding the Matchbox Car case. Classic case of, "Why didn't I think of that?!" Ugh.
Anyway, the case is perfect. And now I can organize my thread and dream of all the money I would have made if I'd put two and two together...

Shopkins case!

Using for shopkins storage. Awesome! Can fit about 15-20 shopkins in one cube if you cram them to full capacity. Which for the entire container means it could easily fit 720-960 shopkins. Although my daughter likes to just put in a few so she can easily see which ones are in the compartment. So she has about 200 in there now.its perfect.
Perfect for embroidery floss bobbins
Brooke Eidem✓ Verified Purchase•August 31, 2016
I'm using this to store embroidery floss. It seems all the products made specifically for that purpose only hold about 50 or so bobbins, and that just wasn't enough for me (shut up, I don't have a problem). None of the other reviews talked about whether this could fit the type of bobbins I use, so I was nervous about buying it without seeing it first. But it works perfectly! There's enough room in each compartment to stand them up (and see the color #) or put 2 stacks sideways next to each other, which is what I'm doing. The large compartment is perfect for needles, scissors, and fabric pens. Plus, you've got the whole other side too! It might actually be a little too big for my purposes, but it's not cumbersome and I'm sure I'll find a way to fill it up. The handle is nice, and it seems to be well made.
Will buy again.

It says two day shipping, that's a total lie. Overall product is great for what I need it. I will be buying 7 more. I have a lot of nail polishes. :) Only Sinful Color and Sally Hansen fit. Finger paint, China glaze, Revlon, OPI do not fit. Hopefully this helps.
Good organizer for toy figures (Mini LaLa-Loopsie)
PhotoLynch✓ Verified Purchase•December 31, 2015
For every problem there is a solution. For Christmas I bought my daughter a whole bunch of mini-lalaloopsie dolls which I knew she would lose. So I had to find a way to store them in a carry around box where she could put them away for the night. Along came this neat thread box.
It's always hard to judge a box by the pictures, but I can report it worked perfectly. Lala-loopsie and a bunch of her other figures (Peppa Pig, Minions, and others) all fit in the little compartments perfectly. There is even a long compartment on each side for taller figures or accessories.
The only issues I can think of on this are possibly the quality of the latch. I would rather see a hinged latch and not just a plastic piece that may break over repeated stress. (We haven't had any issues yet!). Also the size is a little large, but it does fit everything good with a whole lot more room for more figures. We won't be outgrowing it anytime soon.
P.S. I also bought a 2nd box for my older daughter who is just getting into sewing. We have not used it yet, but it looks like it will be great for that too!
