The mount is solid and easy enough to mount. I installed it into a door header, it works for most exercises. It works best for a ceiling mount that I couldn't do. I may make a L-mount to attach to the header, then attach this in order to clear the door frame. I'm open to ideas...

Notes: 1) I have weak doors and don't want to use the door strap; 2) We have an older ceiling that is already cracked, so no drilling into that.

Updating this review. My previous post I'm leaving unedited below, but changed the rating to reflect this particular item receieved. It's one thing for it to happen once, another thing for it to happen each time I've ordered it. This re ent one I order came with the bolt pictured. Unfortunately I don't have a tool capable of driving this particular "type" of bolt.

Not much to say about these. They do what they're supposed to do. I'm only giving it 3 stars because of what I see as a huge inconsistency in what you get from TRX. I got these two mounts on the same day from amazon. As you can see, one of the mounts has white caps that snap on the lag bolts while the other are simply painted white (which means I'll have to be really careful with them if I want them to stay white). I'd much rather have the caps, but would really just like to have whatever they send be the same as the other. You can see in the pictures that even the stamped label is different. Really makes me wonder if one of these isn't a knock-off. I had the same thing happen to me with the regular grey mounts that I have in our garage. I got 2 and they looked different from each other.

It came with wood screws. Be sure to drill the proper pilot hole into your wooden stud. I installed my with a socket wrench and a good sized handle. It scratches up the paint on the bolt heads a wee bit but that's an easy thing to touch up. I have grabbed it and hung off it (165 lbs) and it feels REALLY solid. I purchased this to use for shoulder physical therapy. I needed an overhead spot to hang my pulley and other stretching straps. To go with it I purchased an Omega Pacific Standard Oval Carabiner and the TRX Training - Xtender strap. The set-up works well for my purposes.

It's a metal plate with two loops to anchor your TRX in the wall or ceilings (provided you know how to properly install the anchor bolts to a stud and not just through the drywall). It won't make your family thanksgiving dinner, it won't feed your pets, it won't even read your kids a bedtime story. It will provide an equal and opposite reaction in proportion to the force you apply and keep whatever is hanging on it in a static position. As long as you temper your expectations, it will perform as advertised and you will be satisfied. I'm still waiting for it to put my turkey in the oven for me and I'm running out of patience...don't make the same mistake.

Great mount! We put it up in our garage and it was super easy to put up. Find the stud and just screw it in! We've used it for a few months and haven't had any issues with it looking like it's going to move or come out.

I had seen some reviews about the paint on the mounts coming off. . Hasn't been the case with ours at all! It's worth the money to be able to mount your TRX from above and be able to use it like it's meant to be used
