it fit properly but not as fun to replace as you would think

the cable stretched and was binding in the original one making the pedal stick depressed,so i replaced it with this new oem unit. it fit properly but not as fun to replace as you would think lol

The product seems to be built fine, but the two-star-knock is directed at Amazon and this review is directed at potential buyers: this product DOES NOT FIT a 2002 Chevy 2500HD crew cab long (8 foot) box pickup. If you have that truck (like me), you need the 25780187 part - that part bolts right in and works!

Product installs but when trying to depress the parking brake pedal part of the assembly contacts the dash and does not allow engagement of parking brake. After getting unit fully installed I had to remove the unit and remove about of inch of extra material from the part of the assembly that moves when depressing the parking brake pedal. Upon investigating the unit is made slightly different from the factory part. The application data says this is compatible with 2003 Chevrolet Silverado HD. This unit does not seem to engage the parking brake as effectively either. I would like to return this in favor of 25780187 however I had to modify the part to make it work so I am not sure if this company will accept it for a refund. I would gladly pay the difference between this product and 25780187. Do not rely on the application data here. Remove your part first and make sure that the photo matches what you removed from your vehicle.

Worked great in my 2004 Chevy Avalanche. Teamed it up with Dorman C660985 to replace the cable all the way back to the 1-into-2 bracket near the rear wheel. This lever fits perfectly but it was very difficult to install and I am very handy working with cars and trucks. Took a lot of extensions and swivel sockets to get to the mounting bolts up under the dash. Lots of wiring in the way.
