Came as advertised. Initial setting for barometric pressure and altitude was easy enough. Still practicing with it and initial impressions are very positive. I'd recommend to a friend.

I have a on-site weather station at work that I use to calibrate the other models I owned previously, usually I get them and they are WAY off, like 6 inches of mercury off- needless to say I have had terrible luck in the past using other budget models for ELR shooting. I decided I have had enough junk purchases in my life and that I needed to just commit to getting gear that will work. the Kestrel 3500 {yellow} did not disappoint! I took it out of the box and turned it on. without reading the instructions this thing is pretty straight forward. immediately I checked the atmospheric pressure outside and its altimeter and both were almost right on the money. when I took it to work, the barometer was less than .05 inches off, which is phenomenal out of box accuracy- and accurate enough for my needs. all other measurements were dead on. I couldn't be happier. rather than having an anemometer, barometer, humidity meter and thermometer all separate, now I have a nice little handy unit that doesn't crowd my drag bag.
