Great customer service bad product
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•January 15, 2018
3 stars due to great customer service and quick refund! As for the product it would be 1- Star alone. Mine came with 3 foam balls not 4. The light indicator did not work so we had no clue when the ball would dispense and when it did dispense it was about 6-10 inches off the ground. Not worth it. The force is just not there.
Push to shoot softball, not baseball
Revto✓ Verified Purchase•December 20, 2017
Shoot out soft ball, that's it. It doesn't shoot automatically every few seconds as described. Rather, I have to push each ball out, quite a chore. It uses specialized baseball-like soft ball, relatively expensive to buy only from them. The ball is so soft and light in weight the it doesn't train as a real baseball would and is prone to be affected (blown) by wind. Not a satisfactory solution.
Fits the Fisher Price baseball launcher

Much better price for replacement balls on the fisher price baseball launcher. (Fisher price is $20 for three replacement balls, nearly the price of a new launcher unit. Best for Pitching Machines
GeeGeeBee✓ Verified Purchase•March 27, 2017
Of all the plastic and foam baseballs I have tried, these are the very best for pitching machines that I have found. They look the most realistic, are just the right hardness (soft but not too soft), are durable, and produce the most consistent results in terms of pitch velocity and location.
A runner-up and good budget choice would be the Tucker Crush-it foam balls Tucker Toys Crush It High Performance Foam Baseballs - 2 Pack - especially if you watch the price - you can get them for almost half of the Franklins.
You get what you pay for, and I think that these Franklins are worth the extra few dollars.

Great for the money

I bought this pitching machine for my boys (5 and 11) to practice in the back yard. It has a few quirks, but overall for the money it was a great purchase. My boys can set it up and use it themselves, and it's great for timing practice. The balls are great for the backyard, as they feel solid when hit, but won't break windows. Not sure of top speed, but it's comparable to the pitching my older son faces in little league.
