Wouldn't be without them!!!!
Gloria A. Ford•May 23, 2017
These are amazing!! We have an oak coffee table that is so heavy we had to bring it into the house on a dolly. Needless to say, I swept between it and the couch with a hand held attachment... not much fun. We put these under the legs and I can move it with ease... and I am a small "older" woman. I am definitely ordering another set.
They work!

When my painter moved heavy furniture away from the wall, I was aghast at the amount of dust and cat hair. Ok, I knew something was going on back there but what could this 65 year old woman do about moving HEAVY furniture. Now that I have these under the furniture, I can glide even the heaviest piece away from the wall. I am using these on carpet BUT would not use for my wood floors as I would be afraid of scratching. I just put those felt pads under the furniture that's on hardwood.
worked well

I don't know enough about slides to know if they were perfect. Some one put them under a heavy credenza for me and I moved it on a carpeted floor from one room to another. It was difficult for me to move, but since I am in my 80s, I was thankful I could do it. I hope to put some under my couch.
Good for Heavy Furniture

When we moved to a new home with hardwood floors, I was determined to find substantial sliders for our very heavy buffet. I used all types of sliders for other pieces--and all are good for one piece of furniture or another. But these permanent sliders are great for the buffet. When the movers put it in place, I asked them to put a slider under each corner, and they remain there today. They are visible, but because they are dark brown, they are unobtrusive. And they work well, keeping the floor unscratched, when I have moved the buffet. Expensive compared to many others, but worth the price.
My wife and I moved our upright piano alone

These things worked great. I was thinking about calling 5 or 6 other guys to come over and help us move our very heavy piano across the room. I had recently heard about piano slides and, since they're so inexpensive, I thought I would try that first. I had my wife hold a towel and then I lifted the piano a few inches off the floor. While I did that, she used the towel to wipe any dust and dirt off the floor under the wheel and then put a slide under the wheel. Once we had all four slides under we swept up the hardwood floor and used a towel to wipe the floor between where the piano was and where we wanted it to be. I didn't want and grit scratching the floor when we moved it.
Then my wife and I, with very little effort, slid our piano across the room and into its new location. It worked like a charm! I would absolutely recommend them. Just make sure that if you're going across tile or hardwood you clean up your path and make sure there is no grit on the floor when you place the slide also. But this is significantly cheaper and easier than hiring someone to move stuff or getting enough friends to come over on Saturday morning to help.
