Does not work. Like another user said, when plugging in a PS3 controller, all 4 lights blink on top of the controller and do not stop blinking. It never recharges. The controller also will not work while plugged in.

This worked for charging the PS4 move controllers for the PSVR. They don't charge reliably off just USB for some strange (but well documented online) reason.

well charges my PS3 controller just perfect, no more needing computer or PS3 on to charge controller, specially since using the PS3 controller to fly my Bebop
Need extra ports or charging while system off. This is what you need.

Love it, since i can set a controller or headset to charge without having to keep the ps3 slim shady on. If my old PS3 Fat hadn't of died, it would have had enough ports to charge simultaneously, but with the new ones being built max of 2 USB ports. You'll need this to charge your extra devices while you're not in play or in use.
