Use it every day to keep my freshly ground and brewed coffee hot. Love it.

I am very pleased with this carafe. We use a thermal carafe daily for keeping coffee hot (and off the burner) to drink throughout the morning and into the afternoon sometimes. I have purchased a few different carafes in the past year and I am finally satisfied. The kind that have a twist-on lid have a chamber that the coffee passes through. These create the tightest seal and keep coffee hot the longest but I find them unsanitary as you can't clean that internal part. Also they pressure built up from steam bursts every time you go to pour sending coffee splatter everywhere.
The lid on this has no hidden chamber and easier access for cleaning. The trade off is you lose a couple hours of heat but for us it is worth it.
I boiled some water and tested this carafe...after 2 hours the water was still piping hot. After 4 hours still hot enough that I couldn't keep my finger dipped in the water. And after 6 hours still hot enough for an enjoyable cup of coffee. Plus it looks great on the counter.

This is one of the best pitchers I've ever had. It's very durable and dishwasher safe. This is important given the number of glass pitchers I've gone through over the years. The plastic pitchers are never dishwasher safe and are only for cold drinks. The glass ones are dishwasher safe, but fragile. The bonus is this is also vacuum insulated and it keeps liquids at the temperature I desire and is sleek and good looking on any table or desk.

Does a great job of keeping water cold. Have not used it for hot liquid. Would recommend
