Great tonal shaper

Whether you have active or passive pickups, this is a truly musical magic knob for your guitar. It enhances the bass and treble while cutting the mids. In the off position it does nothing at all, increasing to full eq at wide open.
It dramatically changes the sound of you guitar, which is what I would hope for in a tone knob. EMG's kit includes all of the extra fixin's you might need to wire it: battery terminal, output jack, solderless connectors. They have wonderful wiring instructions included as well.
If you suffer from bland, excessive midrange (and what humbucker doesn't), this puppy will shine things up significantly.
