Good material, warm, hard to breathe through, awkwardly shaped.

This product didn't really work for me. The material is good quality, although it's a little difficult to breathe through, and I found myself pulling it down on the ski slopes so I could catch my breath. It did keep me warm, but the shape and design doesn't really provide protection for your nose and ears at the same time - it's either one or the other (if you wear it over your nose, it won't cover your ears, and to keep it on your ears you have to slide the edge under your chin). It's just a simple tube shape, but humans aren't tube shaped.
They are better than most other sleeping masks because they can't spin ...

My husband and I use these as sleeping masks, and they work perfectly for that purpose! They are better than most other sleeping masks because they can't spin around and get out of position over your eyes (since they are just a smooth loop of fabric). Also, they are made out of a nice thick opaque somewhat elastic material, so they don't let light it, and they have held up well over the years despite washing in the washing machine many times. Mine also helps keep my hair smooth and flat while I sleep, so I don't wake up with a huge colic or tangle of hair in the back of my head in the morning. Overall, we highly recommend this product, though not exactly for the origin purpose!
Can't leave home without it!

This amazing headgator has been a mainstay for my entire family for over 20 years. I recently ordered two more to make sure my husband & I can always find one to tuck into our pocket as we go out the door for a snow ski outing in the winter or a windy hiking and/or biking/boating day in the summer. It fits nicely, not bulky, under my ski helmet and during summer windy days, under my baseball cap or bike helmet. Blocks the wind and cold unlike any other product I have ever tried. Annette C.

I have had one of these for years. I use it in a variety of ways depending on weather conditions. This simple piece of gear can be used with any hat, cap or helmet you wish and of course it does a fine job by itself. It's lightweight, folds up small and should be in everyone's back pack / go bag, glove compartment and or coat pocket.
If I had to complain I do wish at times maxit had made this product a little bit longer. I find when I use mine as a balaclava in extreme cold and high winds I wish I had that little extra length for better neck coverage... Problem solved buy 2, they are worth every penny.

Good for those cool morning motorcycle rides!

I had recently lost my balaclava that I use for cooler motorcycle rides. I have a full-face helmet but the bottom of my chin and neck get cold and wind-burned when it's below 50°F. I figured I'd give this a try and it's working out quite well. I could generally ride into the mid-30s with my old balaclava and it looks like I'll be able to do the same with this. It keeps the wind off my chin and it's pretty warm as well. I just keep it around my neck, pull a small portion over my chin and that's enough to keep things comfortable. A family member spent some time in Iraq several years ago and brought his back when he returned home. It's since been handed down to my brother - who uses it for hunting in colder weather.
