It was easy to assemble and use

I use the Oregon sharpener at work. I am a professional maintenance worker. The two sharpeners are very similar in design. I have already sharpened 3 chains on it. It was easy to assemble and use. Great quality without the high price tag. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

This is the second unit that I have bought from Amazon. The first one worked great. I used it for about a year and sharpened a number for chains.. However, some miscreant broke into my barn and stole it a couple of months ago. I ordered a new, exact replacement for the one that was stolen, and I am completely satisfied with it.

Great piece of equipment and extremely handy. I am a wood turner so I use my chainsaws quite a bit. It's great to have a chain sharpening station in my shop... and this is a solid piece of machinery, especially for the price. I would buy this again.

great sharpener. You get the right angle to sharpen your chains. Most shops don't even have this type of sharpeners

Figured out how to use it without too much difficulty. Sharpened several chains and they came out very well. Controls could be a little more precise and less sloppy but they work. The tilt base on the vise has two ball bearings that can fall out if one isn't careful and the vise itself needs some careful use to hold the chain tightly. The safety shield is also too time consuming to take off and put on, poorly designed.
As with others, I downloaded the Oregon owners manual to substitute for the one that came with the machine. My biggest issue was finding the sharpening specs for an Oregon D72 chain, which I couldn't find, but was able to match the existing angles on the chain.
Overall I am please with this machine and it will pay for itself in a short time.
