Built to last. Once in a lifetime purchase!

This is the type of purchase for those who want the best! It is made specifically for commercial settings. I use detecto scales and receptacles in my doctors office. They are made in the U.S.A. ( at least at the time of my purchase). They use heavy gauge steel that is unlikely to ding with normal use; in fact, it is much thicker than that on my car. Areas for improvement would include the noise made from the lid and the risk to children's fingers on closure. This is one of those products that will stay around in the family for generations. I will continue to buy from them as long as they are U.S. made!
