Got this level when Amazon appeared to have an especially low price (and it went up after I ordered it). The vials are especially easy to read, and the cut outs in the top surface makes it very easy to read. The description is pretty accurate, and all the features appear to be just exactly the way they are described. The magnets are strong.
This level is supposedly aluminum. Either there is a thick plastic coating on a thin aluminum structure, or only the top and bottom edges are aluminum. The level is very light, but it doesn't seem flimsy, it's just seems to be more plastic than metal.
What I want out of a level is:
a) The level is really level. The surfaces do appear to be milled. I don't have a machinist's straight edge to check it, but it seems very flat. My caliper says that the edges are parallel.
b) Easy to read - the vials on this level are easy to read, and the bubble is the right size to judge level
c) Rugged enough to not worry about handling it - I have some concerns here, but as I said, it's not at all flimsy
For what I paid for it, it's a great value. At the current price, you can get an empire level, which is a bit more hefty, but doesn't appear to me to be as accurate or as easy to use
