Excellent Hatches, I own two. I stand on them with no deflection. They're water tight. The locks operate smoothly. They are slightly expensive, but you get what you pay for; And I would buy these again. The gray matched my gray carpet. The hinged door opens 180 degrees. Use your own SS screws, since none comes.

Follow the directions, use the template, measure twice, cut once, maybe trim a bit... do this, and you'll have a very nice, sealed waterproof hatch. For this application, I converted one of the jon boat seats to dry storage. Water passes through the seat via sealed-in pvc pipes. Don't worry... the other 2 seats still have flotation!
