Works on cotton T-shirts
Seer7✓ Verified Purchase•August 12, 2017
Working in Florida my cotton T-shirts would smell like pond scum from sweat and deodorant residue in the armpits after just a few weeks. I was throwing them away because I couldn't get the smell out. Sport Wash finally got rid of the problem, and only this product, nothing else I have tried works. I use it alone in my HE machine, very hot water, stain cycle, works great. The only draw back is it "bleaches them out" slowly over time, it's worth it to me.
It truly works!

After a month of use I really cannot say enough good things about this product. I sweat a ton when I work out and have tried many suggested tricks --- no matter what, my clothes would eventually develop a difficult to manage stench. This product has not only restored my existing workout gear, but has maintained my new clothes perfectly. I also use it to clean my son's track gear...and it's performed perfectly.
I've been using a capful in each load on the delicate setting, cold water with an extra rinse...no problems chemical smells some have mentioned.

What a great product. I used the down wash from gear Aid and presoaked my jackets, one is orange so dirt is very noticeable, after a 20 minutes pretreat and two washing cycles it barely removed anything then I used a single once of the sportwash and stains were gone!
I love it! I washed some 20, wicking shirts, and several pairs of pants and used just three capfuls and the stuff is really good, so good after the second rinse cycle the wash basin was still full of suds so I had to do a third rinse and spin and everything came out fluffy and like new.
I used to use Nikwax Tech was which is great for highend tech outer wear that needs to remain waterproof, and the wax that embeds in the matial helps keep stains from setting in as well but it is really really expensive! I used the Nikwax on some of the more expensive items like Prana pants which come coated with ScotchGuard and works really well but after a year of putting the pants through heck and weekly washing, while they hold up perfectly, they look rough are in need of some help and the Nikwax gives them a boost and that new sheen and added water repellency.
I was happily surprised that the Sport Wash had a similar effect as well. I've used it before but it was always hard to find so a 64oz. bottle will last me at least a year or more and at just over $20 what a bargain!!!

Excellent for deep washing clothes/towels without leaving a residue

This detergent has really helped removed a deep musty smell from my towels. I tried bleach, different cleaners, super hot water, etc, but nothing helped before this. It also left them soft, which I didn't expect.
IMPORTANT - because this rinses so clean, it really helps with sensitive skin.
Since this detergent does not leave any residue, I also use it to wash my microfiber face cloths I use to clean and exfoliate my skin. These fabrics don't work nearly as well when softeners, perfumes or dyes are left behind. Freshly exfoliated skin will absorb more of anything you put on it, too, so I prefer to avoid residual detergents and other chemicals on my face cloths.
I use this in an HE front loading washer and it works fine. I use 1-2 caps depending on how dirty or funky smelling the load is. It also seems to have helped a mild odor starting to come from the washer itself, which was an unexpected benefit.
I tried this company's hair and body wash as well and it's fantastic. It cleans without drying out skin or hair and it's friendly to my son's eczema.
I don't hunt so I have no idea if the claims about that are true, but whether you hunt or not this is a great product and I will keep buying it.

I just can't do without this stuff. I started off buying the smaller amount and realized I was never NOT going to use it so I bounced up to the big-mama. My gym clothes used to wreak and now they smell as fresh as a daisy each wear. Not to mention it has completely removed even a hint of smell from all of my undergarments and the pit area of all my clothes. Especially during these tough sweaty, hot summer months.
