Works in a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica
Brad✓ Verified PurchaseJanuary 14, 2018
These headphones don't feel like they are the greatest quality but they do work with the overhead DVD player in the Chrysler Pacifica. For $10 I feel like they are pretty good value. We've only used them once so I'll update this post if/when they stop working to give you an idea of how long they last. The same is true for the headphones included with the DVD player but the on/off button is very touchy so I'm concerned they will get turned on by accident while being stored in the van. I wish they had made it a power switch instead of a button.
These work great for watching home TV

These work great for watching home TV. My 6-yr-old Sony headphones finally gave out on one side. I suspected that my Sony infrared transmitter was still OK, so I took a chance and ordered these XO Vision headphones hoping the two would be compatible. Surprise! They work great - the new phones actually sound clearer than the original Sonys. I doubt they'll last 6 years, however.
I'm using these in my living room sitting about 14 feet away from the Sony transmitter unit. Sound is clear with no hiss or breakups. I can get up and move around the room freely. However, the sound will cut-off if you leave the room (true of all IR headphones). This is all the same as the old Sony set except the XO Vison set sounds better, has a better volume control (very clear at low volume, but will go plenty loud if you want) and they are more comfortable. The Sony set had the one advantage in that they were rechargeable on the convenient stand built into the transmitter. However, I expect to get many hours of listening using regular batteries. If not, I'll just switch to rechargeables. I have a portable phone nearby that is seldom used that I can just swap out batteries when needed.

In sum, I am extremely pleased that I found a low cost solution to my old headphones wearing out. The only unknown at this early date is durability. For reference, my Sony model was: MDR-IF240RK Wireless Headphone System (discontinued.) I have the XO Vison transmitter plugged in to the RCA jacks on my TV's audio system - an old Bose CD/radio.

XO Vision IR Headphones are Great for Many Cordless Audio Applications
Thomas D.✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 17, 2017
I previously purchased a pair of Radio Shack IR headphones for listening to my projection TV and music videos at home. The XO Vision headphones are inexpensive and sound almost as good and work with the Radio Shack IR transmitter. I wanted to inexpensively add extra IR headsets to my media room for use by possible guests/visitors as I live in a condo and don't want to disturb neighbors with football game or media event noise. Blue Tooth is usually limited to one or two headsets fed simultaneously. Additional XO Vision IR headsets can be purchased inexpensively, are lightweight and produce sufficient volume and are great for use by multiple listeners (football game parties etc.). A convenient function; they mute themselves if the IR signal is lost (trips to the kitchen etc.) The Radio Shack headsets produce a blast of white noise static if signal is lost and the volume must be reduced manually. They will also turn themselves off if left unattended with no signal. The low end frequency response is better on more expensive headphones but for the money the XO Vision IR headsets are great buy and convenient. I also use them with my computer instead of blue tooth headsets as set up is much simpler. I get additional use with my ham radio equipment as cordless headphones are convenient. I recommend these headsets for any cordless headset requirement (you might need to purchase an IR transmitter for specific applications).
Kids love them

Work great in our 2014 chrysler town and country. No programming needed and our 3 boys love them. We can now listen to the radio while they listen to a movie. We bought 3 sets and they have all been pretty durable as being put to the test by tow 2 year olds and a 5 year old! Battery life is also great on these. Awesome for long car rides and trips.
Not worth the price, broke within 2 days.

I bought two pairs of these because I have four children and our van only came with two sets of headphones. So of course I needed two more pairs.Within 2 days of getting these headphones, one set broke. The entire right earpiece cracked right off and was hanging by the wires. My son continued to wear them only using one ear piece because we didn't have any other ones. Not to mention that these broke on the way to our month long vacation, so by the time we were home, it was too late to return them... and I had to hear my kids fighting over the non broken for the duration of the trip until I stopped and bought some that plugged in.

The other set had dead batteries after the first day because these do not automatically turn off when they are not being worn, like the regular headphones that come with our van do. If you have younger children, they probably won't always remember to turn off the headphones every time you get in and out of the car. I don't like that feature at all.

Not worth it.
