Wow! I am so happy I purchased this lock. My cat was being a trouble maker and getting into the bags of catfood I keep in my pantry. Nothing stopped him from getting to the food as he is great at opening doors and pushing away heavy things. I was at my wits end with trying to keep him away from there until this lock was suggested to me. I am just sorry I didn't purchase it sooner! I can definitely also see this as being a great tool to help keep out toddlers from unwanted spaces with double doors. The lock was super easy to install. The concept is simple yet effective and I couldn't be more pleased.

Great to keep kids out of closets...unless of course you have a 5 year old monkey that can somehow climb walls and push this to the side. 😅 I think I'll buy a hook and latch for the future since it only took one day for my oldest to figure out how to push these tp the side with a broom handle or by scaling the wall.

These aren't true locks, but they do keep pets and small children out of closets (unless they are able to drag over a stool or chair). The insert for slimmer doors can be a bit tricky to snap in. It really helps to use a thin-ish table. Line the button and holes up well. Put your table top in the pocket where the door goes, then press against the table or resistance. These slide nicely and can be used with our without the handle (which is for short people).
