This adapter works well with the Sperry Breaker Finder (aka CS550A), but NOTE: the white wire is connected to the Hot side (center contact on the screw-on adapter), not the neutral side. The receptacle on the Adapter is recessed, designed to fit the Sperry breaker transmitter. Other brands of breaker finder transmitters will not plug in all the way without cutting away some of the plastic lip on this adapter.. The Adapter has a warning "For 120V only". I think that is because the Sperry Breaker Transmitter is limited to 120V, not because the insulation on this adapter is only good to 120v.
