We had it restrung as i did not like the strings that it came with
Ashley Campbell•December 26, 2017
i have played violin for 25 years. We bought this for our 4 year old daughter who is 40 inches tall. It fits her but she will have room to grow. We had it restrung as i did not like the strings that it came with. Overall its a great little beginner violin. The bow is not the best quality, you really have to rossin it up, but it will do the trick for a beginner. The case is nice and sturdy and my daughter enjoyed the red color.
good student violin

good little violin!

We ordered this for our daughter who is just starting violin lessons. I was really torn between renting/buying but finally decided to buy this because by the time you pay for deposits and monthly rental fees, you've pretty much bought the violin anyway after 7 months. (And, it's so cute, it will be fun to have forever).
Our violin teacher was surprised by the quality of sound she was able to get from it - she said it's a great little violin to start with. She did recommend that we re-string it with strings (she said Dominant strings were best, which we also ordered from amazon). I was very relieved as it's sort of a shot in the dark to order something like an instrument online.
