I broke the pump trying to inflate this thing, but that's mostly my own fault. It takes awhile to pump up, and I eventually stopped using the pump and just blew into it - highly recommended when you start, as long as you've got strong lungs. My 3 (almost 4) year old is very big for her age, and she loves this ball and our only issue is that her 1 year old sister wants to ride it too (and she's WAY too small).
