1000 Clays later, great purchase.

This is a great single thrower. Easy to put together...but remember, this is a very heavy thrower compared to some of the cheaper alternatives. I also bought the wobbler, which is fabulous. Together with the step-on remote, I can shoot by myself very easily. I have had no problems after almost one year throwing out-of-the-box clays. I have found that clays that sit out of the box tend to get some moisture...these will break in the thrower. Best to stick with clean, dry clays. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Instructions are easy to follow, best to have help to put it together due to weight...but did it by myself because no one was available. As a result, it probably took longer and a little harder than necessary. Watch the videos online, they are more helpful than the written instructions.
Dead on Arrival - Replaced at No Cost

The package arrived quickly from Amazon LLC, no damage to the box or packaged product. Assembly of the trap thrower is rather straight-forward and took me approximately 20 minutes to complete. After connecting the leads to a fully charged 12-volt deep cycle battery, the motor did not work. I tried two other batteries, both fully charged, and neither of these worked. Hence, either the switch, wiring, relay, or motor is defective. Low battery indicator light did not turn on, indicating a charged battery. I could hear the relay "clicking," but the motor would not run. I have requested a return/replacement.
Update:
I received a replacement unit within three days of filling a return/replacement with Amazon LLC. I assembled the replacement unit and it operates flawlessly. The first unit that was sent to me clearly has a faulty switch. It appears that the switch may have been damaged during shipment (i.e., styrofoam did not protect it well enough). Amazon has made the return/replacement process rather seamless.

Some minor 'creative engineering' will make this a great hobby-use machine...

I purchased the Do-All White Wing Automatic Trap for recreational use. I did have some concern- considering poor quality/workmanship related reviews, but after a few minor 'creative engineering' techniques were applied we went through two boxes of clays with no issue. Setup was relatively simple, although I did find the sub-grade hardware and no washers a little on the 'cheezy' side. Once assembled, I quickly loaded a handful of clays and proceeded to launch three in quick succession. (away from any traffic or structures- safety first.. and they were biodegradable clays!) My worse fear was realized- all 3 clays broke upon launch. I went through each nut and bolt to make sure everything was working properly, then determined that it was likely related to the base sitting directly on the concrete in front of my shop, allowing movement as the arm activated. I added two 6" x 6" posts, and integrated some 1" conduit to make it easier to lift and carry. This appeared to resolve my issue, as I was able to launch multiple clays with no breakage.
Aside from the cheap bolts and no washers- my only other issue was with the relatively short DC power supply cord. That said, I presume they designed this to be used with their trap limo, so a short cord would be preferred. I chose to extend the cord 20' (using properly sized AWG wire) so that I could leave the Deep Cycle battery in the bed of my truck, and still get the machine far enough away for shooting. It also allows you to use your truck battery in a pinch, and have another person sit on the tailgate while firing clays for you.
After the first two hours of operation, I am very pleased with the machine.

I was very disappointed in this product

I was very disappointed in this product. The quality control associated with manufacture is poor. There are four brackets welded onto the base for the legs to fit into. Only one of the four had been properly welded to the base. Two of the brackets were only welded on one side, and a third only had a tack weld less than 1/8 of an inch on one side (I was surprised they could make a tack weld that small). The two legs that were only welded on one side folded within 30 minutes of use. I spent the next couple of hours disassembling the base and welding the brackets on properly, then cleaning up the welded area, re-painting the base and reassembling the trap. This takes the term "some assembly required" to a new level. Most users will not have the tools or facilities to make a repair of this nature at home. Inspect the welds on the leg brackets BEFORE you assemble the trap. If they are not fully welded on both sides of each bracket, box it up and send it back. The trap is functioning properly now, but Do-All should be ashamed for sending out a product of this quality. I only hope the metal assembly of the base is not reflective of the rest of the trap.

Great thrower, very well made and definitely worth the money. Everyone was drooling, so it is the official thrower for our group. The clays did not break in the holder or when they dropped prior to discharge. The discharge speed is fast until you get use to it. However the clays floated and dropped and we were able to savage some of them which was nice treat as we went through 4 boxes of clays. The deep cycle battery is the best choice to use with the thrower. The option of the Key Fob remote is not necessary. The foot pedal cord is long and you can attach an outside extension cord if you want to be further away than 8 feet. Even the "foot pedal operator" could shoot if they wanted. A nice surprise was you can hold down the pedal to have more than one at a time flying. The only difficulty out of the box was adjusting the angle of the table to the proper discharge height as it is heavy product as it takes 2 people to adjust and test.
