High quality stand with universal installation design. Might need a hack saw to trim stand leg depending on your bike.

You will probably need a hack saw and adjustable wrench to install this. The stand has to be trimmed to fit many kids sized bikes. I bought one of these to put on my daughter's bike. It turned out to be the same exact kick stand that the bike tech provided and installed on the bike we bought for my son at REI which gave me confidence that it is a quality product. I tried to measure the stand on my son's bike and trim off the same amount on my daughter's stand but ended up having to cut off more because the frame attachment points were different and hers was lower to the ground requiring a shorter stand leg. The attachment design provides for a lot of versatility on installation.
SO FAR SO GOOD!

So far my husband seems very happy with his new kickstand which we bought to replace his old one. I bought it for him to replace his old Greenfield kickstand that recently broke after several years of daily use {about 6 years of daily use Hubby is an avid bicyclist }. At first we had trouble figuring out which size kickstand to buy, and then noticed that usually the size measurement is written along the length of the kickstand. The measurement you need to read is near the very tip that touches the ground, so we looked at his old brocken Greenfield kickstand which measured 285 and then ordered the same size replacement kickstand here on Amazon from this seller. We got it pretty quickly within a few days. Hubby hasn't used it long yet so we can't speak for it's longevity yet but it seems to be fine so far.
Missing key mounting hardware. Buy somewhere else.

Confusing product description led me to believe this came with the rubber or plastic mounting hardware that it had the last time I bought it. It doesn't. Included with mine was only the inferior stamped metal mount that will slip and slide until you tighten it down so hard it will crush your bike frame. I cut peices of auto tire to put between the mount and frame to solve this, but I have bought this product in the past from other vendors and it came in different packaging with the additional frame saving plastic mounting hardware and a short bolt for frames with a threaded mount. This one came in a simple plastic bag that was not for retail sale.
Great stand, after some minor fitting for a smaller bike

I used this on my daughters 18" bike. The kickstand is too long for an 18" kids bike, BUT an angle grinder made quick work of it. The stand is solid aluminum, so cutting the stand shorter is perfectly fine. I mounted the stand first, then kept cutting off ~1/2" sections and testing it. After a few cuts it was perfect. (Caution, it gets hot!) I sanded it smooth, then shoved the rubber cover over the end. It works great. The stand rubs ever so slightly on the back wheel, but it's not really a problem. I may end up bending the stand out a little.
Great kickstand, the best on the market, but not as described, missing parts.

Product I am reviewing here is "Greenfield KS2 Kickstand, 285mm, Silver ...". This is my second kickstand I ordered from Amazon this time around. I mean I bought kickstands before for our other bikes, and they worked just fine. They all were Greenfield kickstands.
But this time I decided to get one of the highest reviewed kickstand from Amazon. The one I got was "TOPCABIN Bicycle Adjustable Aluminium Alloy Bike Bicycle Kickstand Side Kickstand Fit for 20" 24" 26"- Black", That kickstand had 400+ reviews averaging 4.5+ stars. I thought I was in the good hands. But I was proven wrong, while I was assembling that stand it broke in my hands. The seller of that kickstand claims that it is metal, and it is at least for about 80% of the item, the problem was not in the metal part of the kickstand, but it was, in the small plastic piece in the middle of the kickstand. It just snapped in my hands. I returned it obviously...
So I went back to the old and proven item. I got it yesterday, this time I installed it on 20 inch kids bike. The kickstand is too long as it was expected. I took oscillating tool I had and in couple of tries shorten it. The reason for couple of tries was, I did not want to cut it to short. So I cut an inch at first , and 1/2 inch after (two times). With oscillating tool it is easy and I want to be safe. The stand is very strong, and will last for a long time. Bike is secured and does not move an inch. The only thing, I used is to attach this stand was the bolt, I did not need top plate. This kickstand is very secure. It works as designed!
CONS: the only problem I found is in description. It is described as in the package were included :
"includes top plate, rubber foot and 2 different length bolts"
BUT THERE WAS NO RUBBER FOOT AND THERE WAS NO SECOND BOLT. I found only one long bolt and top plate.
The bolt was to long, so I cut it with oscillating tool and it worked, I guess it is better when the bolt is too long and not too short.
The bike I attached that kickstand to was kids Diamondback 20'' Octane. ( I hope this helps some one)
