I like to make my own bread, but when I knead it in my kitchen aid mixer, the dough is so stiff, it makes the mixer "walk" across the counter. I have to stand right next to the mixer the entire time, or it could end up on the floor. In desperation, I decided to try the Dycem non slip mat. It fits under the mixer perfectly and completely stops the "walking". I can now clean up my mixing mess while the mixer does the kneading. However, this mat REALLY prevents the mixer moving: as in, you have to lay the mat down, then lift up the mixer and set it exactly where you want it on the mat. The mixer WILL NOT slid on this mat and the mat will not slid on the counter. Just something to consider if you have a very heavy mixer, like mine.
Keeps me from slipping while sitting in the wheelchair.

I needed a mat to place in front of my chair when I stand up. Shoes nor gripper socks would not keep me from sliding. So far this seems like it will work, but have not been able to try it out, because my feet have been wrapped in bandages.
