Easy installation and igniter timing adjustability a plus!

Great replacement to my defunct original controller. My old controller left the preheat of the igniter element on for way too long before introducing gas. This unit is adjustable for igniter preheat time and I'm predicting that the reduction of this time will result in extending the life of this part. Easy to install and works like a champ!

Apparently the B-10 life of these modules is about 10-15 years. This is my 3rd in 25yrs, looks identical to unit that lasted 10 years. Worked immediately upon installation.

I don't know if I should rate this one star or more.

I just purchased a house and this control board went out on me, bought a new one and fired right up.

From a lot of searching, apparently these boards fail often (every couple of years) which is ridiculous for how pricey they are. To expensive to have a spare just sitting in the closet but important enough that you'll spend it anyways because you have to.

Nevertheless, simple swap just took a few minutes and probably saved a hundred ddollars doing it myself.

My furnace broke down on Thanksgiving morning when I first turned on - pilot light came on with some clicking sound and nothing happened after that. It's quoted for $700 to replace controller (replaced 50E47-60 with this universal unit). I thought to myself "get out of here" to the service guy. It's outrageous. After learning from Youtube and reading from internet, the problem is controller (even I went ahead and ordered this and sequencer, cost me double to get it locally), old sequencer is still OK - expected 20ohms for coil and no connection between terminals. It's easy to replace - make sure you label all the wires and read the new cross-reference table and small prints carefully - but it's simple. In my case is BLUE card plus green ground connector. I double checked again before turning on power. I'm very happy with it, save me a bunch of money. A quote to replace entire decent system is between 9K-11K for 14 SEER.
