Cough sepressant and expectorant. Works as a stimulant for some and a relaxant for others. Grind 2 teaspoons in a coffee grinder, add boiling water, let steep for 10-15 minutes. Do not drink every day; lowers potassium and aldosterol levels.

I used this licorice root to make a tincture, and it worked beautifully. The tincture is sweet, with a good licorice flavor. This is a very nice product and just what I was looking for.
