Mylar bags...
H•January 14, 2018
These bags are huge!! To put them into my five gal buckets I kinda have to scrunch them up a bit and fold the bottom corners in, they could definitely fit into a bigger bucket. I have just gotten into long term food storage. I like what I have read so far but have just sealed my first set of bags.
Bags had holes; Aborbers useless.

Don't waste your time or money. Bags had holes in them from being folded instead of rolled and the Oxygen absorbers were useless. That's several days waiting and several hours wasted sending this junk back. See photo of the oxygen detector after being sealed in a jar for over an hour. The detector is Blue showing oxygen present. It should turn pink almost immediately with 10 of these stuffed in a small air tight jar. Also they did not heat up immediately when exposed to air. A telltale sign there is something wrong. Why do you even bother selling this junk! People are going to use this for their survival plans.
Great Bags, but understand you may waste oxygen absorber (Bulk Packaged)

So I will say this. That the bags are great! Nice and thick and will fit a 5 Gallon Bucket with no worries. The reason for the 3 is the Oxygen absorbers. They are not individually packaged, so be ready to fill 10 buckets and get them sealed in a hurry. I had 8 buckets so I had to drop 2 in 2 buckets as not to waste them. They should be very clear to folks that this is for bulk storage and that the absorbers are not individually wrapped.
Now I bought 4x or this package. So I know for the next 30 that I need to buy and bulk package the buckets.

Perfect setup for storing food in 5 gallon buckets
Lisa in Oregon•January 19, 2016
This set is the perfect set for storing up large quantities of food in 5 gallon buckets. I used them for beans and rice and my oatmeal. The mylar bags fit perfectly in the 5 gallon buckets with room to seal the bags. I put one of the oxy absorbers in each one and then sealed them. When I went back the next morning, the air was sucked out of the mylar bags. The bags are very durable and easy to use. I used a hot iron over a metal square.

The mylar bags were fine. I packed grains in the bags and looked at the instructions for the amount of oxygen absorbers to use and doubled it. I was bagging oats, spelt, wheat, lentils, millet, etc. And half the bags turned out just fine they absorbed the oxygen and the bag vacuum sealed like I expected around the grains. The other half, 9 five gallon bags didn't perform at all. I bagged all the grains first and then placed all the oxygen absorbers in the bags and then heat sealed the mylar bags. I wasn't thrilled with having to repackage half the bags and buy different oxygen absorbers to get the job done. I read the FAQs on the website. Basically they say that the bag may not vacuum collapse as it only takes the oxygen and not the other air. But after having half the bags collapse as expected and half not, I'd have to say the product is faulty. There FAQ also says that the absorbers will get hard when used, I left some out on my kitchen table for a week and nothing happened -- they never did get hard. I don't know what was wrong with the product. Maybe the plastic wrap didn't have any holes to let the absorber absorb.
