Good.value does not fit Ford fusion hybrid without modifications

Battery work with out any adjustments .Hooked right up started the motor and has been very good. I would buy another if needed and i also woud tell people about this item.

Quality battery-fit perfectly in my PT Cruiser as described and advertised. Pricey but I believe will be well worth it in the long term.

Odyssey makes a great battery, and this one is no exception. It's small and lighter than the default size in a wet cell for my vehicle, two bonuses on top of the great performance. The price compared to a direct replacement for me was less than $100 more, but will give 2-3x the service life of a wet cell. Likewise, this battery gives better reserve and much better cold-weather starts and can be neglected without a tender for longer, as well. As the Odyssey is smaller, you may need to come up with a solution for securing it in your vehicle. The Odyssey mount #HDK1200 will not work with the metal jacketed version of this battery. If you do not need the jacketing and want to use the #HDK1200 then you might need to be looking at the PC1200, PC1200T or PC1200LT, depending on the format your vehicle uses.

One note: Odysseys are built modularly with some parts shared across multiple designs. In this case, the top posts are hollow and threads, which is nice as it comes with matching bolts that allow auxiliary devices to be attached directly on top. However, the top posts also bolt on, and on mine the negative was lose. I kept tightening the pinch bolt on my cable but a wiggle was still present; turns out the problem was with the battery having a loose binding bolt for the post, easily corrected with a 5mm Allen key. If you go with an Odyssey, which you arguably should, ensure the posts are firmly attached before installing.

The Odyssey Extreme battery has so far been amazing. I have no garage or driveway, therefore my car is parked on our Michigan Street in front of my house in extreme cold overnight temperatures. Former car batteries many times required charging before I could get the car started in the morning. I cannot express what a pain it is to break out the extension cord, plug it in to the outdoor house socket, run it down to the car on the street, pop open the hood and hook it up to the battery in the cold. Many times I was in a hurry and charging the battery made me often times late. Plus, I would wonder if the car would start in the daytime 20 degree temperatures to get me home again.

Anyway, Odyssey claims their battery has more power"”twice the overall power and three times the life of conventional batteries"”up to 400 cycles at 80 percentage depth of discharge. In my experience this means flawless starting in the worst winter conditions imaginable, which was/is all I wanted in a battery. It also starts the car in a hurry saving the car starter needless wear and tear.

I cannot vouch for the longevity of the battery since I got it October 4, 2016 so we shall see. I don't write reviews often as my time is limited. I only break out the pen when a product is exceptional or a total flop. This product has proven to be exceptional starting my car after days of extreme cold temperatures!

I also asked around at local auto repair shops about this battery. The price of this battery was high in comparison to other car batteries and one mechanic told me it was not worth it. Another very knowledgeable mechanic praised this battery and told me this is the battery of choice for local police cars, which I did not verify, so I had mixed local mechanic reviews.
