Strong steel. Weak casing

Pretty strong steel. Not too pliable. But gets job done.
Very strong metal. The casing is weak. Not strong. It dropped from a 2 step ladder and casing developed a crack along side. That's reason for deducting 1 Star.
Over all doing what it was supposed to.

Cheap flimsy handle - arrived broken

Item arrived damaged - the handle broke in shipping. With such a flimsy, low quality handle there is no way this product would hold up to heavy use which is what I needed it for. I returned it.
Worth every penny.

For the price of product can't be beat. I just got it this morning and used it for the first time. I had to push it through a taillight gromlet hole 1/4 inch round and through a enclosed boat trailer frame 25ft. I never could have got this wiring harness run without it. It's worth every penny I paid. The quality isn't that bad for the price and yes it does have some oil but that's to keep the rust off, no problem wipe it off with a cloth or paper towel.
Be careful when winding up..

This thing has been a pain in my butt from day one!
I really like the idea, size and cost, but it was falling apart on day one.
When the fishing tape is extend from tool it becomes difficult to retract.
The cable will start to bunch out and push plastic cover away from hand grip area.
I've used this thing about three times and I would not purchase this thing again..

the tape is the style I like (1/8") and the casing is really not too bad

Dripping with oil. The entire product packaging was stained with oil, pulled the tape out and it is just dripping with this nasty black oily greasy mess. They obviously coat it to prevent rusting but this was unbelievable. I had to pull, wipe, rewind 4 times to get it somewhat clean. Still will need to be cautious where I use it as to not stain the surrounding areas. On the positive side, the tape is the style I like (1/8") and the casing is really not too bad.
