Initial impression: it's... good, but tastes like your typical spicy BBQ kettle chips. If you're accustomed to spicy foods and/or are an avid fan of eating them, the spice level for this product will be mild at best, honestly. I ordered it to see what the hype was about, and I'll give these chips some credit in that they ARE spicier than your average store brand chips, but if you're used to spicy food then this probably won't be a different experience. The barbecue flavor is fine, though. You'll probably be better off eating this without any expectations.
After going through 6 bags: If you're used to spice, it takes a while for the spiciness to settle in (for me it took half a bag to a entire bag), but it's there. Actually pretty addictive to eat. Would order again.

The whole family loves this hot and spicy potato chip, that has just the right crunch that you want with a crisp. While we all love them, they are my grandson's all time favorite, and he asks for them for every birthday and holiday for a treat. Too bad that we don't live in VA where they're made, and then I might be able to find them on a store shelf, and buy them locally...glad that Amazon offers this brand and flavor that I can easily order for him.

I wish they sold these chips around me. I would rated the value for money higher if it did not cost higher to buy online. If you have a Whole Foods around you they are typically cheaper. They are very spicy chips. Do not buy if you do not like very spicy.

I have been looking for these ever since they stopped selling them at my local bagel shop.
Taste - It's the right amount of spice that packs a decent punch. It has flavor without overwhelming you. There is some sweetness and some saltiness to it as well. I have been known to track down every remaining bits of flavor from the bag once all the chips are gone. Wish it came with wet naps.
Texture - These chips are very crispy and relatively thick like kettle cooked chips. This gives the chips a robustness that makes it great to eat alongside a sandwich or bagel (cream cheese helps extinguish some of the heat).
Value - Super high, especially if you haven't seen it anywhere for 15 years like I have!
