Ideal 3 way pencil sharpener
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•January 18, 2024
This is the best pencil sharpener for artists or others with a need for extreme sharpness and lead length. It has 3 sharpeners; one for the tip, one for just the wood which let's the lead extend out and one for both, as is the case 90% of the time.
It is extremely sharp and easy to use. I bought in multiples as they are not easy to find.

Just when you think pencils are no longer important !!!

Just when you think pencils are no longer important !!! you find that this particular pencil sharpener is not only sturdy but well designed easy on all types of pencils ... water color pencils / woodless water color pencils / regular lead pencils / nothing to screw to the desk or counter fits in the drawer and is easily found when you need it even if you may not be as organized as some others are
2 of three sharpeners work on standard pencils

super sharp blade, very easy to use. however we could not figure out the third hole (with the shortest blade). tried it on sharpened and unsharpened pencils. keeping it anyway :)
Sharpen KIN graphites as intended
Earthling✓ Verified Purchase•December 20, 2023
Some people get all bent out of shape over the little sharpener that serves as the clutch release button on KIN clutch release graphite pens. They seem to think that it's the only way there is to sharpen the 'lead' and that Koh-I-Noor is deliberately tormenting them. But that little sharpener cap is just a convenience they've included so that you don't have to carry a separate sharpener. It's not intended as the sole or even primary means of sharpening leads.
That's why they also offer this sharpener - it's nicely suited to 5.6mm rods and well made. And while it's not as cheap as some pencil sharpeners, the features and quality certainly justify the price difference IMO.

Perfect for soft wax Prismacolors!

This Koh-I-Noor pencil sharpener is the only sharpener I've owned that doesn't break Prismacolor colored pencils. I mainly use the long blade on this sharpener.
Last night I sharpened all of my pencils (200+) and got very satisfactory results. I really like a long lead on my pencils but with Prismacolors you will find that in some environments they can be brittle or too soft to consistently sharpen without an X-Acto knife. Most of my other sharpeners would give a good point but would waste so much pencil or break off the point.
This sharpener didn't break one pencil. Seriously.
My only complaint is that this is small and it can fatigue those with arthritis in their hands or wrists. With my hands, it is hard to use if I need to sit and sharpen more than a dozen at a time. It's not time consuming, but for me it is one of those sharpeners I will want to use as I go along to maintain my stockpile as I use it.
Overall I give it 5 stars as the quality is excellent and it sharpened all of my Prismacolors without issue. I am not necessarily a fan of how it sharpens my Derwent Studio hard-lead colored pencils; but this was purchased exclusively to use on the soft wax pencils.
