Awesome brake line to work with
erl✓ Verified Purchase•August 8, 2023
Awesome brake line to work with. It is also slightly thicker than the cheaper copper nickel tubing, which makes it a little easier to bend and not kink. I have used hundreds of feet of this and love it.

Been a mechanic for 12 years now and this is the only brake line besides stainless that anybody should run... last forever and is so pleasant to work with bends easy no kink wall thickness is superior to other brands ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
This is THE BEST brake line you'll ever buy. Period. End of story. Really. No joke.

If you cut this open and measure it with a micrometer, you'll find that it's .028" thick. If you do the same with the copper line you buy at Napa, you'll find that it's .025" thick, sometimes less. This doesn't seem like a lot, but it makes a HUGE difference. You can bend this line by hand, and it won't kink, even when making very tight turns. With the cheap line from Napa, I'd often find that when I attempted to flare it, it would fold in on itself, instead of folding out. The SURR tubing flares just line steel line. I've never had it fold over on itself.
The difference is even more noticable in larger sizes. I used to have a ton of trouble with the cheap 3/8 tubing. It would kink even when using a bending tool. The SURR line is actually usable. It is much easier to bend and much harder to kink.
