Thanks to Facebook memories, I remembered my brother sent me the link to these speakers. He already purchased a set and I heard them in person. Although sound quality wasn't the best, they seemed like a decent deal for ~$40. I decided to get a set for my computer as well.

Sound quality wasn't very crisp or clear but it was ok for music compared to my laptop speakers.

The reason for the lower rating is because the controller dial stopped working. It would not send any data to the speakers, rendering the whole set up useless.

I've had them for a few years now but never even used them too much since we had a baby shortly after the purchase. Not sure what happens to the controller. Disappointed.

If you are looking for the perfect everyday use speaker system, look no more! This system is perfect for some great quality sound while doing work or relaxing at your desk. For months I was sick and tired of playing music on my poor-quality sounding phone, so I decided to search for speakers that were good enough for different levels of sound, but wouldn't blow the roof of my house at the same time. Cyber Acoustics Speakers place above the rest in both quality and price.

Sound Quality:
The speakers themselves have crisp, clean and clear tones from each and every song it plays. The sub-woofer itself emits a hard-hitting bass, but can also be toned back using an easily manageable dial on the controller. This system has a great range in volume, to cover any needs whether you're in the kitchen cooking or hosting a casual dinner party. The high and low tones within the speaker are well defined and there is never any feedback or interference to the song playing. The price alone is worth the amazing sound quality that comes with these speakers.

Durability:
This whole system is made out of excellent plastic materials, as opposed to cheap, breakable, thin plastics. This is a type of system that if it gets knocked over, it will still be in the same shape it was in before, setting itself above other systems that break easily if knocked over. The controller is easily accessible with its long cord and effortlessly spinning volume dial. The speakers themselves have stands that are included, so if something gets spilled around the speaker, the stands protect the speakers from getting damaged.

Convenience:
The system is easily transportable to different locations throughout the house as well as on car rides. The volume dial and bass control on the controller make the system easy to operate, having all the controls together in one place. The controller also comes with a built-in auxiliary cord, allowing anything with a headphone jack usable to play with the speakers. The set-up is fairly easy, there are only three cords that need to be plugged in to get the whole system up and running.

Overall, these speakers are a purchase that is well worth the price you spend. With their outstanding sound quality, long lasting operating system, and convenient features, this system is one of the best.

Okay for price, but it's barely sufficient for listening to music on the desktop as the bass is nearly non-existent even at the max setting. Another negative is the speaker wire is not long enough to stretch across left & right as well as down under the desk to the subwoofer itself. The hardware looks to be good quality.

I usually give products a chance but I suppose I got what I paid for here and re-packed it right up and went back to my old speakers - a nearly 10-year old 2.1 system that was a bit more expensive, but undoubtedly more powerful. I''d say this is fitting for a laptop setting but that's about it.

Purchased the unit last July 2015 but last February 2016 started soft noticeable humming sound until it becomes louder within a month and the sound was very distorted that it was already a noise to hear. However, since the unit was still under warranty, Cyber Acoustics sent a whole new unit without the hassle of shipping back the defective unit but has to send a picture of the unit with cut off power cord to make it inoperable. Loves the new unit and THANKS to Cyber Acoustics.

Definitely overall pretty great. The only issue is the sub does best at kind of strange frequencies. I've noticed it seems to really bring out the VERY low register, but doesn't do so great with mid-lows (like a bass drum, for example). Also, the left speaker kind of cuts out early at lower volumes, but at higher volumes the issue goes away. I've compensated for this by having the speakers up by maybe 20% more than I normally would, but I turn down my outgoing computer volume. And my final (minor) complaint: the cables that hook into the back of the sub are VERY sensitive. Like, if you touch them at all they make popping and scratching sounds come out of the speakers. Consider powering them down if you plan on making adjustments.
